Her Cabaret persona “A Girl Called Fred” has entertained at The Pheasantry, Crazy Coqs,
Cafe de Paris and across London, accompanying a plethora of artistes and penning her own solo shows.

Following re-training on a Postgraduate Musical Theatre Course, Birgitta has loved being involved in professional Musical Theatre productions, as an actor and actor-musician. Roles include:

As a Classical singer...
...Birgitta has appeared as a recitalist, soloist in Oratorio, various stage roles in Opera and Cantata, and is employed frequently to sing at Wedding Ceremonies and funerals. She particularly enjoys the Art Song medium, and has a giant repertoire of French Chanson, German Lieder and English Twentieth-Century Song.
She also recorded an educational CD for
Kevin Mayhew which is now in circulation in
Primary Schools.
Ensemble performer.
Birgitta has an enormous history in ensemble work. Among many other groups she sang for over a decade with Suffolk-based “Octave”, an SSAATTBB group with a vast repertoire extending from Renaissance music covering every single classical era to the present day. She has also performed extensively with “Half Hour Call” ensembles in professional employment, with 6-girl-group
“The Crystal Belles” and in her duo “Two’s Company” with soprano Bethany Barber, which provided Corporate and Function entertainment.
Birgitta has strong sight-reading skills, and although officially a Mezzo-Soprano, with a range of low E to high A she has been called on to cover alto and even tenor parts!
